Welcome to our Website
The Native American Music Fund was established in 2014 to intoduce music education to Native American children. Music has always been an integral part of the Native American culture, but has lost it's significance in modern times. We seek to reintroduce music to the lives of Native children by providing instruments, funding music workshops, and exposing them to other areas of the arts. At present our work is limited to the Navajo Reservation.
We are having fun with youth through music.
We are a program under the Gathering of Healers is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt non-profit corporation.
We Are Raising Funds To:
Provide instruments to the children that have limited resources.
Purchase music books for the children.
Organize music workshops for communties.
We are looking for sponsors and grants to help with these dreams.
Free Music Workshops
Each month, we host a music workshop for the Navajo Community at the Navajo Nation Museum.
We raise funding to provide healthy lunches for the children as food insecurity is a major issue on the Reservation.
We take whatever instruments are donated and give them to children that want to play and learn an instrument.
We refurbish the instruments, restring guitars, fix drums, and do what we can to make sure each child has the opportunity to take an instrument home.
We have been copying music and giving them to the children so they have the right practice material.
The instructors volunteer to teach and do what they can to help each child progress along their musical journey.
Donations Are Needed
We are in need of instruments, especially guitars and keyboards.
